The National Institutes of Health define health in three ways:

  • A state that allows the individual to adequately cope with all demands of daily life (implying also the absence of disease and impairment).
  • A state of balance, an equilibrium that an individual has established within himself and between himself and his social and physical environment.

A healthy life looks different for everyone. Some people wake up before the rest of the world to hit the pavement while others feel rejuvenated from their evening meditation. Still, we can incorporate more healthy habits into our life, whether we want to be happier, eat better, or make more time for being active.

These healthy habits help you take small, but important steps toward health goals, no matter how big they may be.
